TRIP DETAILS
Day 1: Transfer Day.
For those flying to Pisa airport, try to arrive before 4pm for a comfortable transfer by train to the Cinque Terre and your 'albergo' where you will be staying for 3 nights. For those driving, aim to arrive anytime after lunch. View photos of Manarola.
Day 2: A day in the magnificent Cinque Terre.
Self-guided itinerary to discover the unique and beautiful Cinque Terre. Visit each of the 5 picturesque villages of this most famous coast - Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso. Choose to travel between villages by train, boat or on foot. Train trips between individual villages take about 5 mins. Light and leisurely, independent, self-guided sightseeing itinerary. View photos of the Cinque Terre.
Day 3: Portofino and the National Park.
Short train trip along the coast to Santa Margherita and Portofino. Optional boat trip from Portofino to Camogli via the beautiful old abbey of San Fruttuoso (not during the winter months). Optional walk up into the Portofino National Park for those who wish to see the beautiful views from the hills above. Light and leisurely, independent, self-guided sightseeing itinerary. Day 4: Pisa City Visit.
Time for a final stroll around the village you have been staying in. Morning train back to Pisa and your hotel, situated in the historic centre of Pisa. Afternoon and evening to explore Pisa and visit the Leaning Tower. Typical accommodation offered in Pisa. Independent, self-guided sightseeing itinerary to discover Pisa. NOTE: You can if you prefer, stay in the Cinque Terre an extra night rather than visit Pisa.

Day 5: Transfer day.
For those flying out of Pisa airport, morning and perhaps the afternoon in Pisa, depending on flight departure times. 15min transfer to Pisa airport for your flight home.

Prices for some bookings during the winter months can be up to 15% less. For those choosing the luxury hotel option, you will be staying in one of the most beautiful Levante Riviera seaside towns. *** The Cinque Terre during July and August, is very hot and busy. Best months to visit are May, June, September, October and April - book at least 4 or more months in advance to secure the best accommodation. The winter months of November to March are generally mild and ideal for those who want empty trails and a wilder, rugged atmosphere.

5. FLY-TRAIN holidays: fly to the recommended airport
and take a train to the place you will be staying for your Short
Break. Airport transfer times are generally less than 1 hour
by train.
6. FLY-MEETU holidays: fly to the recommended airport
where we will meet you on your arrival at the nearest airport
or mainline railway station, and take you to your hotel either
by car or mini-bus.
7. FLY-DRIVE holidays: these short-breaks are typically
in places that are not served by regular public transport or
areas deserving further independent exploration under your own
steam. Therefore, we thoroughly recommend that you arrange car-hire
at your point of arrival in Italy, or use your own car if driving
down.
8. All our Short Breaks can be extended by as many days as you
wish - please ask for a quotation.
