Day 1: Transfer day, to the Ponente Riviera.
Holiday starts at Genoa airport where we meet you and provide transfers to your accommodation. For those flying to Nice: hire a car and drive the 1h30 to Finale Ligure.
Day 2: Best Beaches Tour.
Today we'll take you to the best beaches along this most beautiful stretch of coast. We start the day with a short drive across the mountains to a secluded cove where you can swim from the small sandy beach and jump from the rocks into an emerald sea. Next stop, the sandy beaches of Spotorno, then on to the picturesque seaside village of Noli for a swim before lunch. After lunch we'll take the coast road to an old abandoned tuna station, a most idlyllic setting for swimming and snorkelling, before finishing off with a late afternoon swim on the Finalese coast. Snorkels, masks, fins and inflatable lorry tyres supplied for this wonderful day out at the beach.
Day 3: Free day by the pool, or a day on the beach.
Choose on the day whether to have a lazy day by the pool or a full day on the beach at the lively resort town of Finale Ligure.
Day 4: 4x4 Safari in the coastal Alps.
This day trip offers a relaxed day exploring areas of the Coastal Alps only easily accessible by 4x4. Plus, a wonderful bar-b-que lunch in the mountains and the opportunity to walk around the 'nicest' seaside towns along this stretch of the Riviera on the way back. Explore Italy's Ligurian Riviera by foot and by 4x4 on our 1-day escorted tour. This is a really exciting way to get a 'taste' of the Ligurian Riviera - a full day offroading through the chestnut forests of the coastal Alps. We take you along some of the regions most spectacular stretches of coastline, just inland up in the mountains looking down over the mediterranean. This is a wonderful 'insider' tour that gives you a good first-glimpse of this most stunning area. For those who wish to, we can make an optional detour and climb the summit of the area's highest peak at just under 1500m (higher than Ben Nevis).
Day 5: Free day by the pool, or a day on the beach.

For those staying 4 nights - transfer day.
Day 6: Sightseeing trip to Monte Carlo.
Breakfast, then a short trip to the railway station for the 1h30 train ride to Monte Carlo. Day at leisure in Monte Carlo and a train ride back whenever you choose. We'll be waiting to pick you up at the station whenever you arrive back. For those who have already been to Monte Carlo, choose a day out to the beautiful cities of San Remo or Imperia instead. Train tickets can be bought locally.
Day 7: Free day by the pool, or a day on the beach.

Day 8: Transfer day.

A Walk through History.
A walk through timeless landscapes and medieval villages to the coast for a swim. We start today's walk right from the breakfast room door. Leaving the olive groves as the trail gains height, we enter the chestnut forests and continue up and along the ridges of limestone mountains that lead us to a prehistoric landscape of ancient cave dwellings and rich Mediterranean vegetation - a food basin of diverse fruits and vegetables. Lunch in a pretty hillside hamlet overlooking one of Italy's most beautiful medieval towns. After lunch the walk continues through this medieval, walled town and on to the coast. The rest of the day can be spent on the coast or back at the pool.
Mountains, Chestnut Forests and Olive Groves.
A mountain bike ride through the Finalese back-country. The ride starts from the breakfast room door, immediately off into the olive groves along ancient trails made by those who originally worked the local terraces. The day's ride can follow a short, medium or long itinerary, depending on your preference. Whichever you choose, a pic-nic lunch can be enjoyed away from it all overloooking the lush green valleys of chestnut, vines and olives. After lunch the ride is downhill all the way back to a refreshing pool in our little corner of paradise.
This holiday can be extended by a week for a relaxing time by the pool or to repeat some of the activities above. Each day you'll be taken out to a different location for a full day exploring this beautiful area - always with the emphasis on fun. This holiday was created for families and couples wanting to get away from the day-to-day routine for a relaxing mix of exhilarating activities - fun in the sun. The daily activities offer a mix of guided, accompanied and independent itineraries - ideal for families with children of the age of 10 and above. Holiday based just 10 minutes from Finale Ligure.
